HI Ed,
I'm ready to sign off, too. My grandson (3 years old) is sitting on my lap and we've been playing online phonemic awareness/phonics games so it has been easy to check mail. In any case, I'm sure that any of THE AcluddWARD board would love to speak at conferences, me included.

I'm on the AWARD advisory board along with Cathy, Bridget, John, and Judy. Hope we get to meet up soon.
I'm very impressed with AWARD as most of my research work is in the are of early/primary grades computer-related literacies. Most impressive. Cathy's latest research is amazing.

Hi Ed,
talking about fishing, I've been in Taranaki this week visiting my son and grandson. I'll add the photo of the snapper I caught to the photos on my page. Actually it was caught on a longline that son Fraser put out on a kayak from the beach. The surf in Taranaki is less forgiving than on the Hauraki Gulf but I did help wind the line in from the safety of the beach.

Hi Ed,
I know I've been out of the loop, but I just finished my 6th calendar day (Conference Day), I'm teaching back to back classes for TC on Mondays, and I am beginning to schedule 84 days staff development in schools. Crazy, crazy busy. Had a nice conference call with Wendy and Brian yesterday, but I feel I am letting the Award Group down. Things are going to get a bit better next month. Take care, Joe
