- Paige Jerome currently is the K-8 Reading Coach at the recently opened Oak Hammock K-8 School, A Working on the Work model school. She has been the Reading First Specialist for St. Lucie County assisting with the implementation of the Reading First Grant for the identified Reading First schools, a teacher of grades K-2, and an Accelerated Literacy Learning Teacher. Paige also provides professional development pertaining to literacy to impact and improve instruction throughout her school district as well as nationally. One of her most rewarding professional development opportunities was a two week trip with 6 other educators to visit schools in New Zealand. During this visit, Paige was able to observe and extend her own learning about Reading Recovery, book rooms, writing, reading “to, with, and by” and multiage.
Paige's favorite activity outside of school is spending time and learning with her 11 year old son, Jacob.

The November 17th Principals' Conference proposal was not accepted, but hopefully the Spring Administrators' Conference will be an opportunity for you and I to co-present an AWARD session. Hope all is well. Enjoy Halloween!
